Stacy Haynes is an Associate Professor and Graduate Coordinator in the Department of Sociology at Mississippi State University. Her research focuses on issues related to victimization, sentencing, juvenile justice, criminal justice policy, and quantitative methods. Specifically, she has examined victims’ and offenders’ experiences in the criminal justice system, particularly with regard to restitution, and the effects of contextual factors on sentencing. Her current research focuses on the relationship between economic sanctions and recidivism and on issues related to health and incarceration. Her research has appeared in journals such as Crime & Delinquency, Criminal Justice Review, Criminology and Public Policy, Journal of Criminal Justice, and Violence and Victims.
