Nicole Rader

Nicole Rader is an Associate Professor of Sociology at Mississippi State University. Her areas of expertise include fear of crime, gender and crime, victimization, and media studies. Her recent research focuses on how families negotiate safety precautions, specifically focusing on married couples and how safety precautions are discussed with children and also, how fictional crime shows socially construct victim blame. Her recent work appears in Sex Roles, the Journal of Crime and Justice, Feminist Criminology, the Journal of Criminal Justice, Deviant Behavior, and the Journal of Criminal Justice and Popular Culture.
